A COUNCILLOR wants eco-warriors and environmentalists to be invited to a council planning law course.
Liberal Democrat councillor Gwyn Griffiths has asked council officers to invite various groups to a planning seminar next week.
The groups include Greenguard, currently protesting on Marsh Lane in Nantwich, Friends of the Earth, Nantwich Town Council, parish councils and the Parkers Road Action Group.
"Planning law is a complex issue and the public often find it difficult to understand how planning decisions are made," said cllr Griffiths.
"Groups such as these are obviously very interested in planning issues and concerned by some of the decisions made by the council in the past.
"I believe they could make a very useful contribution to our training session. I think they would learn things about planning that they probably didn't know and I think we would also learn from them."
The proposal has now been passed to council officers for a decision to be reached.
