MIDDLEWICH-based South & East Cheshire TEC has had its strengths recognised in an official Government document.
Chief executive Liz Davis has welcomed the publication of a review of TECs, which praises their role in the development of the country's competitiveness.
She said: "The review recognises the strengths of TECs in providing a local focus and our ability to take a broad view of the key issues facing local economies.
"The contribution and involvement of the private sector in the planning and delivery of TEC services is a key component ot their success."
She also believes that the review looks at the future priorities of TECs and aims to develop a policy framework, which will enable them to work more effectively and have greater accountability to local communities.
She says that she would be interested in hearing the views of local people on the issues raised in the document and anyone interested in attending a local consultation event should contact Sharon Cope on 01606 734232.
