Margaret Limb is finalising plans for the family event, due to take place in Verdin Park on August 22.
"I decided that if I didn't get something done now, I never would," said Margaret, of Beech Heyes Close in Weaverham.
"So I want to bring as many people together as I can to have a good time, and to show off the work of lots of local good causes."
The day will be in aid of the Sheltered Housing Minibus Appeal and Macmillan Community Nurses.
The mammoth event will last from 9am until 8pm and Margaret has already lined up a dog display team, a stunt car demonstration, line dancing, jujitsu shows, DJ Rick O'Shea and the Age Concern roadshow.
There's also a bouncy castle and refreshments.
Many stalls will be providing free tea and coffee for pensioners.
The event will be fully supervised and Margaret hopes it will be a very special day indeed.
"I'm so grateful to everyone who has helped me," she added.
