BUDDING scientists are looking forward to buying new state-of-the-art equipment for their school.
Leading local company Zeneca presented £5,500 to Westlands High School, Congleton.
The money is aimed at improving technology teaching, and will be used to buy a computer-controlled milling and turning machine.
"We are very pleased with the support Zeneca has given, and the new equipment will ensure all pupils experience state of the art manufacturing skills,'' said design technology head Allan Hughes.
Westlands has been developing a unique integrated technology environment for the teaching of hi-tech manufacuring processes with the aid of computers.
The cheque was presented to the school by its link officer Jo Brown.
