FANTASTIC fund-raiser Linda Roger has won praise for her sterling support for a primary school over the past two years.
Mrs Roger has given up her role as chairman of the Parents' Association at Highfields Primary School in Alsager after a hugely successful time in her job.
Her departure comes as her daughter Helen leaves Highfields to start at Alsager School from this September.
During her time as chairman Mrs Roger has organised numerous events in aid of the primary school, raising a whopping £8,000 in the process.
"Mrs Roger has worked almost full-time for the school, and has organised many events,'' said Highfields head John Girbow.
"The money she has raised has been spent on computers, books and play equipment, and I would like to thank her for all her efforts. We will miss her greatly.''
Mrs Roger was presented with a bouquet and special book to mark her farewell from the parents' association.
The book was signed by pupils and staff, and featured numerous poems written by the children and class photographs.
Highfields summer fair, which involved children from the Highfields Hoppers Playgroup, raised £900, and the infant and junior sports days raised £40 for the Hope House children's hospice, which is based near Oswestry.
