THE public transport system in Halton could be set for a transformation if a council bid for £5 million of Government money is successful.
Halton Council this week announced plans for an integrated public transport network to focus initially on reinvigorating Runcorn busway.
The five-year plan aims to extend the busway across the borough.
Access to system will be improved and safety measures will also be included.
The council scheme hopes to draw £1.75 million in its first year.
