A MAN whose disappearance two weeks ago prompted a police search has been found dead in his car.
The body of Paul Johnston, who went missing on Wednesday, July 28, was discovered in his car near to Junction 11 of the M56 at Daresbury on Monday.
He was found by a motorist whose car had broken down near the scene.
When he climbed over the boundary fence, he saw the body and contacted the police.
Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Paul, 25, lived with his parents in Holmfield Avenue. He was last seen by his mother before he left home at 8am to report to his work at a car park.
It was to have been his first day back following a holiday in Wales with friends. But he never turned up for work.
He set off in his mini and was not seen until his body was found in the car on Monday.
His father told police that Paul had said he was "fed up". A post mortem examination is to be conducted.
