LYNDON Harrison, Euro MP for Winsford and Middlewich, is currently taking actions to quash fears over the single currency.
The MEP said: "The myths which are circulating about the European single currency are misleading and have a detrimental effect on the UK and the rest of the EU's markets."
He will be attempting to set the record straight about the European single currency and economic and monetary union.
One myth that has been addressed is that Britain will lose its ability to tax and spend independently.
Harrison said "The truth is claims that economic and monetary union would remove the Treasury's ability to control revenue and spending are simply false.
"The EU stability growth pact aims to ensure that countries of the EU participating in the EMU sustain sound public finances."
