VALE Royal Borough Council is forcing gypsies to move off council-owned land in Winsford.
The authority has served notice on the gypsies, who have pitched around 40 caravans on farmland at Road One, Winsford Industrial Estate, stating they must leave by tomorrow, Thursday.
If they do not quit the site by this date, the council has said it will apply for a court order to repossess the land.
Vale Royal also served notice on gypsies who have settled on land outside Woodford Lodge High School last Friday.
A council spokesman explained: "They have not left the grassed area on Mount Pleasant Drive next to the high school within the time allocated.
"So we will be in court on Friday applying for a reposession order to force them off the land."
