She recently bought a chiropody practice from a friend - and is aiming to educate people about the importance of what's on the end of their legs.
"More people are aware of their well-being," said the married mum of two.
"They're more aware of taking care of themselves and if your feet are happy, you've got a smile on your face."
Janet's practice, is based at the surgery on Chester Road in Castle.
She bought the business when its previous owner decided to move away.
"A friend phoned me and asked me if I would locum for her. I started working there in February. Then she moved to Alderney and I decided to buy the business.
"I'm excited by the challenge. I'm not nervous at all."
Janet, a state-registered chiropodist, has been dealing with feet for around 20 years.
As well as her Saturday morning stint in Castle, she also runs a clinic in Liverpool and visits homes and surgeries near her Knutsford base.
She became interested in chiropody through her mum's cousin and admits she never wanted to do anything else.
And even after dealing with corns, skin problems and ingrowing toe nails for two decades, her enthusiasm remains un-dimmed.
"The feet don't smell," added Janet. People are nice and clean them before they come to see me.
"I still enjoy my work because I'm dedicated to it. You have to listen to people and understand their problems."
The clinic is open every Saturday, from 8.30am to 1pm.
