A TOWN centre developer this week squashed traders' fears that King Street would be closed to traffic for weeks.
Bill Batley, of TCP Investments, said a section of King Street would be closed on five Sundays to allow building materials to reach the Hewitt's site.
But he said the timings had been agreed with the county, borough and town councils and the traders who would be affected.
The closures will be on Sunday mornings between 7.30am and 10am.
