NEIGHBOURS have won a fight for the right to sell their homes to anyone.
Councillors relented last week and released eight houses in Holly Grove, Tabley, from a clause which meant only Macclesfield borough residents could live in them.
Houses on the other side of the street were free of the restriction - originally imposed to help provide cheaper houses - and were thousands of pounds more as a result.
The battle against the clause was sparked by Holly Grove couple Rob and Sarah Turner, who successfully got rid of the clause which they claimed blocked their house move.
Last week councillors agreed with the precedent set by the Turners' victory and removed the clause on all eight houses.
