HELP! Can someone, anyone, clarify the correct pensioner's fare on Goldlines 125 bus route, boarding at Crab Lane to Birchwood Centre?
Before the rise in fares, pensioner's return fares were anything from 60p to 70p. Since the rise in fares it has gone worse!
Now we are charged 75-80p and the last straw was this week when suddenly it was 90p return!
Each driver adamantly defends the fare quoted as being correct. Phoning the office, a 'very nice man' says the fare is definitely 75p but still the guessing game goes on.
Consequently, until someone in authority publicly states the correct fare in black and white and sticks it up on the bus, the drivers and pensioners will remain at war!
