TERRY Stanway squandered a chance of earning a point for Knypersley Vics on Saturday when he missed a penalty.
Stanway shot wide in the 37th minute of the Vics' league match at Bridgnorth, which they lost 1-0.
The Vics were awarded the spot kick for hand ball, just three minutes after Bridgnorth scored what proved to be the winner, also from the penalty spot.
Vics' defender Carl Woodhouse gave away the penalty when he brought a player down, and Bridgnorth scored at the second attempt after Knypersley keeper Rob Powner could only parry the penalty into the path of a forward.
Dave Shallcross and Craig Redgate saw their second half efforts saved, while at the other end Powner pulled off some good shot stoppers.
