NINE record-breakers from Alsager School scored four A grades in their A-levels on the back of excellent overall school results.
A further eight pupils achieved three A grades, as the school earned a 96.2 per cent pass rate at A level.
Every pupil achieved a pass in 13 subjects, while in two subjects everyone who sat the exam earned an A grade.
"These results are particularly exciting when you look at the achievements of individuals,'' said headmaster David Black.
"Nine students gained four As, a record for the school, and eight gained three As. Given the number of entries this is an amazing achievement.''
Some 43.5 per cent of the students gained grades A and B, while 62 per cent achieved A to C grades.
