ONE OF Robbie Williams' former classmates was treated to a "cheeky'' blast from the past from his ex-school pal when he opened this month's Q magazine.
Page 83 of the September edition features a picture of the pop star doing a ''moonie'' for his friends at St Margaret Ward High School in Tunstall.
In the same picture is a smiling Stephen Turner from Biddulph, obviously enjoying the joke as he walks past Robbie as he drops his trousers for his audience.
The photograph, which was taken about eight years ago, is included in a seven-page feature in Q on Robbie, who was in the same class at St Margaret Ward as Stephen, who comes from Forrester Close.
"One of the lads at work came in and said 'I think you're on page 83 of this month's Q,'' said Stephen, aged 24, who works for an American car hire company at Warrington.
"When I looked at the picture I realised it was me in the playground walking past as someone took a photograph of Robbie. It was very strange seeing it all these years later.
"I went through high school with him, and sat next to him in my first ever lesson at St Margaret Ward because the initials of our surnames followed on from each other.
"He was very funny and a really nice lad, and was always messing around.''
