MAY I, through your letters page, extend my thanks to the people of Nantwich who supported Hope House Children's Hospice at the Nantwich Show by buying one of our buttonholes.
Despite the damp weather we were greeted warmly by everyone and we ended the day with over £200 profit from selling the flowers.
This amount is enough to support a terminally-ill child and his or her family at the hospice for a week. With 150 families from Cheshire, Shropshire and Wales using the hospice regularly, the need to keep funds coming in is constant and pressing.
As the new Appeals Organiser for Cheshire I was delighted to meet so many of the Hospice's supporters at the show. I hope that together we can continue to raise funds in this area for such an important cause.
