A PLAY centre in a former Crewe church will be changing its name on the day it hosts a charity fun day.
Alphabet Zoo will become Funsters this coming Saturday, August 22, when it stages a fund-raiser to boost the fight against cystic fibrosis.
Between 10am and 3pm there will be side stalls, games, face painting and a visit from the Alex mascot, Gresty the Lion at the former St John's church in Stalbridge Road.
Children can play for up to two hours for £1.99 all of which will go to the charity.
The change of name follows play centre owner, Kay Tran's decision to break away from the national franchising chain Alphabet Zoo.
"As Funsters we will be offering the same service, delivered by the same fun loving staff. We would like to re-assure the hundreds of people who have already booked their child's party with us, that the change will not affect their booking," said Kay.
The group's sessions for toddlers, in the former St John's church, Stalbridge Road, will recommence on September 7 at 10am.
