CARNIVAL capers will arrive early in Crewe with a special promotional event on the Square this Friday, August 21.
Colourful entertainment will brighten up lunchtime (12noon-2pm) and provide a taster of what the Bank Holiday main event is all about.
It will feature Dave Johnson's Dance Workshop, Central Community Group's Steel Band, troup dancing, a bouncy castle, Punch and Judy and much more.
"There's bound to be something for everyone at the Carnival this year, and, with the parade time brought forward to 1pm, there's extra time to enjoy yourselves at Queens Park," said Carnival spokesman, Cllr Jim Golding.
Carnival programmes will be distributed during Friday's promotional event.
See next week's GUARDIAN for more details of Carnival events.
