IT may have been an awful summer, but from September 2 there will be bright evenings at the Community Arts Centre in Dene Drive, Winsford, as the Mid-Cheshire Camera Club begins its new season.
The opening event is a recorded lecture entitled 'For the Love of Light' in which Irene Froy illustrates how her passion for the natural world is translated on to film.
The following Wednesday, September 9, members will present the folios they created during the club's outing to York in June.
It was a beautiful day, perfect for photography, so there are some fascinating photographs to look forward to.
Other items in the season include presentations from guest speakers, competitions and presentations of members' own work.
Over the past few years, the club has been building an archive of Winsford and the surrounding area. This proved useful as a source for illustrating the new edition of the official Winsford Town Guide.
Admission to the club's meetings is free and refreshments are available. Visitors and new members are most welcome.
