THE 13th annual Festival of Sport takes place at Moss Farm on Bank Holiday Monday, with organisers promising it will be bigger and better than ever.
John Nancollis, Chairman of Northwich RUFC, has been involved with the Festival since it began.
"There is certainly more variety on offer this year," he said. "Every year, when one festival ends, we start planning what we can do to make it even better the following year."
This year's festival will feature a demonstration by Northwich Cricket Club, the Greenalls Cheshire Strongman Competition and junior and senior football tournament.
Organisers have also tried to introduce more women's sports. They have lined up a display by one of Britain's finest young female powerlifters, Samantha Burns-Salmond and women's cricket.
John added: "The biggest turn-out we have ever had is 6,000. Provided the weather isn't too bad we should be nearing that figure this year."
The fun starts at 10.30am.
