A DRIVER and passenger had to be freed from their car by firefighters following a collision in Widnes on Monday afternoon.
Widnes fire brigade were called to traffic lights on Kingsway and Leigh Avenue at 2.30pm when it was reported that three saloon cars had been in an accident.
No-one suffered any serious injuries.
There was a slight diversion while the accident was dealt with.
