A TEENAGER had his face slashed with a knife in an unprovoked assault as he stood on a Runcorn street on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old Runcorn man was standing by a phone box near to the Devonshire pub on Ashridge Street at 9pm when he was approached by a pony-tailed man.
The assailant demanded money before pulling out a blade and swiping at his target's face.
The attacker is described as white and of very slim build. He is aged approximately 25 and stands 5ft 10ins tall.
He has dark brown, shoulder-length hair which, on the night, was brushed back into a pony tail.
