ROBERTS Bakers has recruited 13 school leavers to train as van sales assistants.
They have filled vacancies created by trainees getting promoted or moving to other firms using skills learned at Roberts.
Charles Ogden, personnel manager, said: "The new recruits may start as van sales assistants, but with the right training, they can and do achieve promotion.
"Some of our previous assistants now hold senior positions within the company.
"We look forward to some of the current recruits possibly becoming part of our future management team."
