I WANT to know why Stanthorne is so insignificant that it has to be left off both the Middlewich and Winsford maps!

The Winsford map only includes half of Middlewich Road, Clive, and does not run as far as Stanthorne, and the Middlewich map stops at Chester Road, Middlewich.

Is Stanthorne on another planet? Does it exist at all? It seems that Coalpit Lane and Birch Lane have disappeared off the face of the earth altogether.

People who live in Birch Lane have the postcode CW10 and phone numbers which start with 83 or 73 which means that they technically live in Middlewich. So why isn't it on the town map? These residents live in the town so why should they be disregarded.

I urge Middlewich Town Council, or whoever is responsible for the map, to sort it out quick smart.

But the complications do not end there. Birch Lane comes under Vale Royal Borough Council's authority even though the rest of Middlewich comes under Congleton Borough. Why?

Perhaps then, if Stanthorne is under Vale Royal it should also be included on the Winsford map too.

Because Stanthorne is out in the 'sticks' it seems that not only is it conveniently forgotten by Vale Royal when bus shelters are placed in the town or grass is cut.

Middlewich Town Council also campaigns about traffic problems in the town, forgetting Birch Lane which has its fair share.

I pass through the country lane everyday on my way to work and have almost hit a few elderly residents as well as a dog or to because there are no pavements.

It's a well known fact that cars use the road as a short cut to Crewe and Middlewich, often driving far too fast and breaking the speed limit.
