HIGHFLYING Alsager dropped their first points of the season on Saturday when they conceded a late equaliser at home.
Alsager were 3-1 up against Eccleshall after 55 minutes, but a defensive error on the hour and a penalty 10 minutes from time cost them their 100 per cent start to the season.
The 3-3 draw followed 5-0 and 6-0 thrashings of Nantwich Town and Cheadle respectively in their first two matches, and saw Alsager drop to second in the table.
Striker Gareth Rowe put Alsager ahead on 15 minutes with a lob over the keeper from 18 yards.
Fellow front man Ben Biddulph doubled the lead with a shot from 18 yards on the half hour, but Eccleshall pulled one back 10 seconds into the second half.
Rowe slotted home a penalty to make it 3-1 10 minutes later after an Alsager played was pushed in the box.
However Eccleshall refused to lie down, and pulled one back five minutes later before making it 3-3 from the penalty spot.
