TALENTED showjumper Karen Watson has been chosen to compete at the world-famous Horse of the Year Show.
Karen, aged 26, will be riding her mount, Billy, full name Marton Elyvator, at the show in the working hunter horses competition.
Karen, from Pirie Road, Congleton, was chosen for the top event after attending one of a series of selection meets held across the country.
"This was the first time I had tried for the Horse of the Year Show, and I was really chuffed when I found out I had been chosen to take part,'' said Karen.
"To be selected for the show is quite an achievement, and the working hunter class is a specialist competition for amateur riders and their horses.''
Karen works as a general assistant for her family's textile business.
