RESIDENTS are being urged to attend a meeting next week to air their views about plans for a community woodland.
People living in the Linley Road area of Alsager have already met with borough council officers to draw up draft plans and ideas for how the local woodland would look.
These plans will be put on show at the public meeting on September 1 at the Linley Mission.
The residents' ideas include a woodland at the top of end of the field, with room for a small football pitch and somewhere for children to play safely where they can be seen.
Other ideas include paths going into the woodland, archways, logs to sit on and possibly a dog toilet with bins and a supply of "poop scoops.''
Council officers are hoping to involve schools, community groups and individuals in the scheme, and the meeting is due to start at 7.30pm.
