CUSTOMER care and a good memory proved a winning formula for two members of pub staff at Nantwich.
Mark Waters and his partner Jeanette Reade, who work at the Three Pigeons in Nantwich, have each been given a prestigious Inn Partnership 100 Club Award by Greenalls.
And the couple are keeping it all in the family by following in the footsteps of Mark's parents Derek and Lorraine Waters, licensees of the Three Pigeons and fellow members of the club.
To gain entry to the 100 Club bar staff have to remember the names and favourite drinks of at least 100 regular customers.
"We view each customer as a friend of the family, because you learn regulars' orders by getting to know them as a person," said Jeanette.
"Each time a customer places his order it is proceeded by a little chat about how they are keeping and what news they have to share."
The award is designed to encourage the highest levels of customer care and Mark and Jeanette have been given special pins to win plus a £25 gift voucher.
