VOLUNTEERS at a community centre are hoping to offer even more advice and information thanks to local donations and sponsorship.
The Maw Green and Middlewich Street Action Group is converting a room which used to house a water tank for a launderette.
It will become a confidential room and another part will be transformed into a disabled area.
The majority of the work is being carried out with local firms donating goods and their time.
Castle Builders Merchants have given a large amount of materials for the building work while Decorsave has donated paint and City Electrics the electrical goods.
The volunteers are also planning to extend the range of information on offer with help from qualified staff from the CAB and Social Services.
Action group chairman Ray Palin said: "At the moment people come in and get information and advice about social services, youth work and health issues.
"Up until now it has been run by myself and volunteers but we are trying to get surgeries up and running from October."
He added that he would like to thank all the businesses for their help and one of the volunteers, who did not want to be named, for her hard work securing sponsorship.
Anyone who would like to be a volunteer at the centre, donate goods or offer sponsorship can telephone 01270 586591 or 583136.
