THE Adams Family compilation album and the tracks have been recorded at the band's own expense, and manufacture of the CD was funded by Halton Council.
It's available from Funky Street (Widnes) and Frailer's Guitar Shop (Runcorn) as well as mail order.
This CD is a slice of local music history. It's very diverse musically - from the ska infested rhythms of Zen Baseballbat to the Pop Noir of Adam's Family.
The Bands are:
Zen Baseballball: Infectious ska rhythms, gritty northern lyrics, twins, trombones... immensely popular, stunning live band, deserve to be huge!
Out: Currently stirring up much well deserved interest.
Live, they deliver cool sleazy pop with more than a flavour of NY punk; this track is more urgent, less dark.
Adam's Family: Alternative pop-noir guitar band; weird, wired, wonderful! Intriguing, unusual, female-fronted, powerful-live band. Supports include Pulp, Manic Street Preachers.
Big Hair: Young, intense, indie-guitar band full of ambition, teen-angst and energy - ripe for development.
If Where Ocean: Polished live performances have earned this young enigmatic pop band a strong following (mainly female!)
The Ryecatchers: Down-to-earth, strongly melodic, honest, unpretentious music with a high feel-good factor.
Grudge 13: Theatrical, heavy, intense, tattooed shaven headed vocalist with very together band.
Sweaney : This band is as safe and melodic as the last band was scary... no-stress pop band.
Greg Oldfield: Formerly signed to Virgin, a victim of the 'love em & leave em' A&R brigade, this singer-songwriter is now concentrating on a solo career.
Termites): Soaring guitar and vocals from this hard-working, ambitious young melodic pop band.
The Pond Dwellers: If Rasputin ever fronted a rock band, this would be it!
Clive (singer) has terrified and entertained the North West for many years. Inimitable, indestructible.
Haloczars: poppy, chirpy, female-fronted indie-ish guitar band, with Texas/Sundays influences - have gigged steadfastly around the North West.
Brownloe: Three friends mutually inspired by The Beatles, Kinks, formed the band in 1996.
Legend : Female-fronted, uplifting pagan rock band.
