AN URGENT plea was made this week for blood donors.
"Traditionally the summer is notorious for poor blood stocks as even regular donors go away on holiday," said Patricia Walmsley, donor recruitment co-ordinator. "The 'O' groups are always in particular demand."
Here are details of the forthcoming blood donor sessions. No appointment is necessary.
Thursday, September 3, 2pm-4pm and 5.30pm-7.30pm - the mobile donating unit, outside Brookvale recreation centre, Murdishaw; Friday, September 4, 2pm-7.30pm - St Andrew's church hall, Festival Way, Runcorn; Monday, September 7, 10am-12noon and 2pm-4.15pm - Moorfield sports and social club, Moorfield Road, Widnes; Thursday, September 10, 10am-4.15pm Tudor Hall, York Street, Runcorn; Friday, September 11, 2pm-7.30pm Tudor Hall; Wednesday, September 16, 2pm-4pm and 5.30pm-7.30pm - Columba Hall, Widnes; Wednesday, September 23, 10am-12noon and 2pm-4.15pm - Columba Hall.
