IN FORM striking partners Ben Biddulph and Gareth Rowe helped Alsager to their third league win in four games on Saturday.
Rowe opened the scoring for Alsager in the 20th minute at home to Hanford with a cracking 35-yard shot which took a slight deflection before flying in.
Biddulph ran onto a through ball 10 minutes later before slotting it coolly home to seal a convincing 2-0 victory.
"It was a good solid performance from us, and although they put us under some pressure in the second half we defended well,'' said Alsager boss Steve Booth.
The win followed a 1-0 home victory for Alsager over Hanley Town in midweek in the first round of the League Cup.
Biddulph was again on target, scoring a second half winner.
Alsager's second team went down 3-0 in the league at Wolstanton on Saturday.
