FACTORY workers Lee Harmer, Alan Gregory and Paul Oakes were flushed with pride when they were invited to appear on stage with Lenny Henry.
The trio, who work at a sanitaryware makers in Alsager, performed a special routine due to be screened this Saturday on BBC1.
The workmates were whisked off to the Royal Theatre in Hanley for their makeover after Lenny Henry descended on Twyfords in April with a huge TV crew.
He was there to record a sketch for Lenny Goes to Town, a new prime time show which starts on Saturday at 7.10pm.
Lee, Alan and Paul working in the casting shop, and were chosen by Lenny as volunteers for one of his hilarious sketches.
They spent five hours rehearsing an all singing, all dancing routine, before travelling to the Royal Theatre the following week to record a routine to the classic number Putting on the Ritz.
The Lenny Henry show was then recorded live in the theatre, with the workmates, who have been dubbed The Toilet Tappers, taking centre stage.
"The lads were nervous at first, but really got into it, and will be wearing top hats and tails for their routine,'' said Twyfords training development manager Terry Woolliscroft.
"They were taught how to dance to tap steps, and really enjoyed themselves.''
