CARING residents Chris and Bob Cooper opened their doors to the public last week in aid of babies and the RAF Association.
Mr and Mrs Cooper, from Bradeley Road, Haslington, organised a garden party at their home in just a fortnight thanks to generous locals and groups.
The event, which included stalls, a raffle, tombola and fun and games, raised £678.
The money will be split between Ward 24, the premature baby unit at Leighton Hospital, and the Crewe and Nantwich Branch of the RAF Association.

Mrs Cooper, who has organised the baby blankets appeal for Ward 24, has also found a new home for squares of wool which are not suitable for babies.
She linked the 24 inch squares together to make knee rugs and presented them to the Stroke Unit at Leighton Hospital where staff were delighted to receive them.
