A SECOND-HAND book sale which started over the Bank Holiday weekend is set to end on Saturday.
The annual sale, at Mow Cop Methodist Church, has seen almost 50,000 books on sale in aid of the Museum of Primitive Methodism at Englesea Brook.
The Reverend Stephen Hatcher said: "We were really sorry only to be able to put a part of this vast stock out at the beginning of the sale.
"However each day we put out a lot more books. We will do all we can to get it all out by the end of the sale."
The sale continues until Saturday when everything is half price between 10.30am and 5pm.
