I READ last week's Winsford and Middlewich Guardian with a great deal of interest with special regard to the A-level results.
Over recent weeks and months, the behaviour and attitude of the town's youngsters has been the subject of a great deal of debate.
Not all the comments have been favourable and there can be no doubt that there is a certain element of the town's youth who let themselves down.
But it has to be said that the results gained in what is the 'gold standard' of exams are truly spectacular.
The only sadness from my point of view (and I suspect from teachers at the town's secondary schools) is that there is still perception that you have to travel out of town to get a proper sixth form education.
In any event, I would just like to say well done to the town's bright sparks.
