GRANGE FC are up and running, and ready to get cracking in their first season in the Mid-Cheshire Youth League.
And thanks to an appeal for players in the Winsford and Middlewich Guardian, the junior club has filled both its squads, the under-10s and under-11s.
Gerard Kitching, the under-10s manager, was also celebrating this week after clinching a sponsorship deal with Henry Smith Constructional Engineers Ltd, of Winsford, nicely rounding off the build-up to their first season.
He said: "The main reason I got involved in youth football leagues was to get my own kids involved in a structured and organised event.
"The response has been excellent. We have full teams for both age groups now and are just waiting to get started.
"It's been very enjoyable so far. We have a good group of kids and parents, all of whom are welcome to come along and help out.
"The sponsors have also been very good and given us a new kit."
The under-10s got together for training on Saturday at St Joseph's Primary School, to show off the new strip.
