IT'S NOT unusual for identical twins to do things together, but sisters Helen and Jane Emmess decided their wedding days should be a double delight aswell.
The 25-year-old sisters from Lymm tied the knot side-by-side at a joint ceremony at St. Peter's church, Oughtrington, last Saturday.
Jane married long-time boyfriend Jonathon Smith, an electrician from Great Sankey, while twin Helen wed James Able, a construction worker from Kings Lynn.
After a lavish reception and a huge night-long party at a village hotel, the couples jetted off to the sun, sea and sand of the Dominican Republic for a joint honeymoon.
Best friend Cheryl West, one of four bridesmaids, said: "They looked absolutely beautiful, everything went really smoothly and it was a great day.
"Both of them were really relaxed and calm the whole time. I think I was more nervous than they were," she said.
The sisters had been bridesmaids for Cheryl just a year earlier at the same church.
She added: "It was the roles reversed completely but it was just lovely."
