A MAN died and two others were seriously injured when a van and car collided on a quiet road on Monday.
The Ford van and a Vauxhall Vectra crashed just before 2am at Broad Lane, Grappenhall.
Graham Hodgson, a 35-year-old security guard from Merseyside, who was a passenger in the van, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the Vectra, a 19-year-old man from Warrington, and the van driver, aged 26, from Halewood, both suffered serious injuries. They were transferred to Warrington Hospital where their condition was described as serious but not life threatening.
A police spokesman said: "The lane is a very quiet stretch of road and it is unlikely that there would have been any witnesses. If anyone did see either vehicle before the crash they should contact police in Warrington."
