KINGFISHERS are the focal point of a new exhibition of Wildlife paintings by an Alsager artist which are on display at his local library.
David Finney, aged 37, of Barley Croft, Alsager is displaying his work at Alsager Library from September 21 to October 3.
Kingfishers are one of his favourite subjects and the birds appear on several of the 30-plus paintings on display including the largest one, pictured, and another, his most recent, called Winter Jewels.
David has also been busy with other projects including designing a Christmas card for Hallmark UK which depicts a robin at a frozen bird bath. It will be available for December 1999.
"I have designed probably 60 or 70 greetings cards over the years, but this was the first for Hallmark," he said.
"It was a prestigious commission as they are one of the largest card publishers in the world."
