THIS letter is referring to the letter in last week's GUARDIAN from Aileen Phillips of Orford, regarding being dropped off in Goldborne Street from a coach.
I wonder how she would have fared had if she been dropped off in Knutsford Road, the old drop off point for most of the coach companies. There are no taxis or phones, at least there are phone boxes around Goldborne Street, some within two minutes of the drop off point.
Being a seasoned coach traveller, I was very grateful when the pickup point was changed from Knustford Road to Goldborne Street. I have been dropped off in the bus lay-by and picked up at the side of the old Co-op by taxis.
