ANYTHING the Neville brothers can do, we can do!
That is the news from the Hooper household as twins Natalie and Leanne sign up for Manchester United.
The 12-year-olds from Culcheth will be playing for the Premier League giants this season and will be treated in the same way as the club's famous stars like Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and Neville brothers Gary and Phil.
Mum Mary says: "We're very proud of them both. They are football mad and went on Manchester United's football excellence course during summer.
"They then went on to trials for the under 14s team. After three trials they were selected for the squad of 18 from 80 girls. For both of them to be selected it is a great achievement."
Now they have quite a commitment to fulfil to Manchester United.
Mary says: "They have a strict training regime to stick to and will do their training at The Cliff. They are not girls, but footballers. All the players of United are treated the same. They will be doing the same training, although diluted, as the likes of Beckham and Giggs."
United's gain is Warrington Wanderers' loss. Natalie and Leanne played on opposite wings for the Wanderers under 12s last season.
Both girls are quick on their feet and Mary concludes: "They are good players and obviously Manchester United see something in them that they can work with."
Natalie and Leanne hope to be in the team tomorrow, Saturday, when they begin the season with a 'derby' game against Manchester City.
