TETLEY Walker crashed to their heaviest home defeat in the North Western Trains League against second in the league Castleton Gabriels on Saturday.
Manager Chris Coulson rang the changes, making nine alterations to the team that took part in last week's debacle at Formby.
In came two new signings, four players were promoted from the second team and the manager even dusted off his own boots.
This produced a much better team performance but the makeshift Tetley side could not alter the scoreline as they went down 4-1 for the second successive game.
Walker conceded two first half goals due to defensive misunderstandings.
In the second half, Walker went on the attack and for much of the half were the better side.
But as they pushed forward, the visitors exploited the extra space to close the gap on the leaders.
Stuart Clay pulled a goal back for Walker.
Team: McCormack, McLoughlin, Webster, Roberts, Coulson, Clear, Farrally, Clay, Turner, Dack, Fitzpatrick. Subs: Hennessy, Pickett, Hunt.
Tomorrow, Saturday, Tetley visit Curzon Ashton, kick-off 3pm. The second team host Littlemoor in the Mid-Cheshire League Division Two Cup.
