Widnes Tigers 36 Cadishead Rhinos 6
THE Tigers romped to a convincing victory over a so far unbeaten Rhinos side.
Defence is the number one priority at training and that has carried on to the pitch. Countless times the Rhino attack was thwarted by aggressive determined tackling.
In attack mom Martin Duggan led his troops well with Andy Abbott, Dave Worth and Mark Fay outstanding. Pressure told and soon saw Mike O'Neil score with good approach work by young Allen. Next on the score sheet was Conner from a set move, Abbot kicking three goals.
In the second-half the Tiger took complete command, Neil Gatcliffe, Rupaacup Connor showing good promise. Full back Lee Cassidy combined well in the line and was rewarded with a good try. Andy Abbott and Mike O'Neil scored further tries but the most outstanding try was scored with his first touch by sub Mike Abbott.
