BULL Terrier Megan helped orphan kitten Branston out of a right pickle!
The frisky feline has been taken under the paw of the caring canine, whose mothering instinct has come out so much that she has even started producing milk for her new charge.
When they first met they fought like, well, cat and dog, but then one day owner Karen Rodney noticed they had fallen asleep together, and things went on from there.
"The next thing we knew the kitten was nuzzling at Megan's stomach," said Karen.
"We thought it was cute that the kitten was trying to take milk, but then we found out the dog was actually producing it for him!
"It's amazing, I've never seen anything like it before."
Karen, a stock worker from Hewitt Street, Latchford, said that Megan had puppies a year ago but after the caesarean birth is now unable to have anymore puppies.
