Halton & District U9s
ONLY eight out of the 16 teams in the Halton and District League Under 9s seven-a-side football league kicked-off as one of the short-sided pitches had not been marked out.
Brookvale Red Star got off to a good start beating Beechwood Utd 3-0.
Utd's keeper Chris Thompson got mom, although he conceded three goals, he worked hard with some excellent goalkeeping to save Beechwood from a much higher scoreline.
Beechwood Bulls had a comfortable win over Grange Utd beating them 17-1.
Daniel Lloyd scored five superb goals, and four came from Mark Mutch, while Liam Quick, Jack Osborne and Daniel Norton scored two apiece.

Windmill Hill's game with Weston Point B ended in a 3-0 win.
Widnes Wolves A had a close game with AgrEvo A with the final score being 5-4.
