Runcorn Senior Cup First Round
Mond Rangers 3
Pavilions Reserves 4
MOND took the lead in the 33rd minute with Wood beating three defenders before springing the off-side trap with a ball inside the full-back for Kevin Morris to side-foot Lowe.
They got a second three minutes later when a Thomas corner was fisted away and found Trever Povey on the edge of the area who volleyed first time into the top corner.
Pavilions pulled a goal back on half-time with some neat footwork by Green which resulted in a cross that Keith Bolton glanced home with a flick of his head.
Pavilions equalised in the first minute of the second-half, a short back-pass by Williams enabling Mark Crilly to nip in.
Dave Green gave them the lead on the hour before a long ball by Wood was met by Karl Thomas to head home the equaliser.
Pavilions got the winner immediately when Keith Bolton intercepted a short goal-kick and crashed the ball home from 18 yards.
Mond Ranger's Bonanza was won by No223. Next week Mond Rangers are home to Poulton Vics in the Pyke Cup, kick-off 3pm, sponsored by Webbs, Halton Road, Runcorn. Mond Ranger's Reserves visit Pavilions for a West Cheshire League derby match.

Mond Ranger's Reserves 1
A STUART HIDE goal was not enough to cancel out strikes from Tyrell and Smith as Mond went down at Helsby.
Paul Rooke had an outstanding game in the goalkeeper's role and was deservedly awarded mom by the victors.
NW Youth League
Cheadle Town 3
Mond Ranger's Youth 2
MOND took a two goal lead when Paul Matchet set up both goals for Richard Flaherty and Andy Bellfield, two injuries to midfield players affected Mond and Cheadle pulled a goal back before half-time.
Two quick second-half strikes ensured victory for Cheadle.
Mond Rangers Ladies 7
Preston North End 0
MOND Ranger's Ladies entertained Preston North End at Pavilions who were promoted companions from last season's Third Division.
It was the home side who got an early eighth minute breakthrough when an unlucky Preston defender's hand caught a bouncing ball and Louise Dixon made no mistake with the spot-kick.
Within a minute Kath Bell drew the Preston keeper before slipping the ball into an empty net and added a second after a right wing assault on goal.
The closest Preston North End came to scoring whould have been a bizarre gift from Mond's keeper when she accidently fell on an intended back-pass, but the 10 yard indirect free-kick was blazed over the bar with the whole of the home team standing on the goal-line.
Helen Cann scored a double strike after the interval after being ably assisted by her midfield partners who toiled in exceptionally hot conditions.
Shirley Hallmark finally broke her duck to loud applause from her team-mates as a goal-bound shot bobbled past the helpless keeper after half-an-hour and two minutes later Kath Bell wrapped up yet another hat-trick by converting a solo effort.
On Sunday, September 27 Mond Ranger's Ladies entertain Bangor City in the First Round of the AXA Women's FA Cup and kick-off is 2pm at Pavilions. Sunday, October 4 sees Mond Ranger's Ladies returning to league action at Phoenix Ladies of Preston.
