A PAIR of women accused together with a Runcorn man of being part of a group conspiring to smuggle drugs valued at £10 million into England are to face trial in London.

Tracey Kirby, a 32-year-old former topless model and television presenter, and Deborah Symeou, 40, were remanded in coustody until the end of this month at Belmarsh magistrates' court.

Both will be committed for trial on charges of conspiracy to import cocaine and cannabis and conspiring to benefit from the proceeds of drug trafficking.

Runcorn man John Warburton, 52, of Grangeway, had been remanded on bail at a previous hearing in London.

He was before court on charges relating to cannabis.

Warburton will appear at court again on November 2.

Seventeen other people allegedly involved in the smuggling operation have also appeared at Belmarsh and will come before the courts again over the next month.
