The first Law And Order Open Day has been designed to show the public a bit more about what goes on at Northwich Police Headquarters, and the Magistrates' Court.

"It's a day for all the family," explained Insp Dennis Crosby of Northwich police. It should be both fun and educational."

From 10am until 4pm, you can tour both buildings, where you can visit the police cells, stand in the dock - and even watch solicitors in action in a 'mock trial'.

There's also an exhibition which focuses on the history of the Northwich courts.

There are displays on drugs awareness, self-defence, and a road safety roadshow promising big prizes for all ages.

Youngsters can take part in the Rodney Rooster Show. Top prizes on his show are theme park tickets, toys, games, T-shirts, sweatshirts and pens.
